Job summary

NV5 is seeking a Land Development Assistant Project Manager to support civil site development projects from concept through construction. The role combines technical civil design with project management, overseeing design, schedules, budgets, and coordination with clients and regulatory authorities.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Civil Engineering, at least 4 years of land development experience, and strong CAD skills (Civil 3D). PE licensure within six months is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
• Minimum of 4 years of land development experience.
• Ability to independently produce and manage a complete set of construction drawings.
• Experience working directly with clients and regulatory agencies during permitting.
• PE license or ability to obtain licensure within six months of hire.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design efforts for land development projects.
• Coordinate with clients and regulatory agencies throughout permitting.
• Mentor junior staff and CAD technicians.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Prepare and review construction documents, reports, and calculations.
• Lead site design including grading, drainage, utilities, and stormwater plans.
• Ensure QA/QC of plans and documentation.
• Support proposals, bids, and contract administration.
