Job summary

NWU in Texas seeks a Civil/Environmental Engineering student to support stormwater management, drainage design, and related modeling. You will prepare plans, specs and cost estimates, and collect data for reports.

Ideal candidates are ABET-accredited and proficient in MS Office, with strong written and verbal communication. AutoCAD or MicroStation and drainage software experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with intermediate technical writing abilities.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Prepare plans, designs, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Gather and provide data for engineering reports and studies.
• Perform and review design calculations.

About You

The company is looking for candidates who meet the following qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including intermediate technical writing and communication abilities.
• Preferred experience with AutoCAD and/or Microstation.
• Preferred experience with drainage software.
• Experience or exposure to Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) plans preparation and design standards is a plus.
