Job summary

RS&H, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for Water Resources in Houston, TX for Summer 2027. You will work with the Transportation team, mentored by senior engineers, contributing to stormwater management, drainage design, and related studies.

The internship offers hands-on design experience, data gathering for reports, and exposure to TXDOT-related standards and projects. ABET-accredited degree candidates pursuing civil/environmental engineering are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as an intermediate level of technical writing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist with stormwater management, drainage design, hydrologic, hydraulic and water quality modeling and environmental permitting.
• Prepare plans, designs, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Gather and provide data for the preparation of engineering reports and studies.
• Perform and review design calculations.
