Job summary

WSP USA's Civil Team offers a full-time Summer Internship in Austin for students in undergraduate or graduate Civil Engineering programs. The 12-week program starts May 17, 2027, with flexible start dates and mentorship through our Developing Professionals Network.

Interns contribute to real projects, assist with field work, preliminary design calculations, and documentation while gaining exposure to senior staff and future opportunities within WSP.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated interest in Civil Engineering and roadway design.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, software, and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical and professional skills.
• Learn basic Civil Engineering principles and project procedures.
• Assist with field work, preliminary design calculations, and analysis.
• Help prepare final design plans, provisions and cost estimates.
• Maintain project documentation and training on assigned tasks.
• Adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and safety policies.

Education

Undergraduate Civil Engineering program
