Job summary

Fehr Graham is seeking Civil Engineering interns for Summer 2027 to work on a diverse range of municipal and environmental projects across its 12 IL/IA/WI offices. You will report to a Project Manager and gain hands-on experience in observation, measurement, CAD, and plan review.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a four-year Civil Engineering degree, can read blueprints, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate Civil Engineering student.
• Able to read blueprints.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Works well independently and in a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction observation and quantity measurement.
• Review and edit engineering plans to Fehr Graham standards.
• Support CAD tasks and basic design computations.
• Collaborate with project team across engineering and environmental disciplines.
• Develop leadership and autonomy through hands-on exposure.
