Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks a Civil Engineering Intern for our Atlanta, GA office. You will gather field data, log records, perform calculations and assist with CAD drafting and preparing graphics. The role supports engineers and technicians in ongoing projects.

Expected to have completed 60 hours toward a civil engineering degree from an ABET-accredited program by Summer 2027, with basic AutoCAD and stormwater modeling skills. Internship offers mentorship and hands-on experience.

Qualifications

• No experience required if pursuing Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related technical field.
• Must have completed 60 hours toward civil engineering degree from ABET-accredited program by start of internship (Summer 2027).
• Must have basic AutoCAD skills and basic stormwater modeling skills.

Your Role

• Gathers, logs and summarizes field notes or other data to be used by technicians or professionals in technical studies or projects.
• Establishes and maintains records or files of technical fata or documents.
• Performs mathematical calculations
• Performs various routine drafting and CAD assignments.
• Assists in the preparation of graphic displays and presentation materials.

About You

• EXPERIENCE: No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
• EDUCATION: Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of the internship ( Summer 2027 ).
• SPECIAL SKILLS: Must have basic AutoCAD skills and basic stormwater modeling skills

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $ 25 - $ 31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
