Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Water Resources Engineering Intern to join our team. You will assist with CAD-based drawings and layouts to support transportation and drainage projects, and help with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations under established procedures.

You will also prepare technical memos, reports, and project documentation while participating in production and quality control of plans for client submittals, gaining hands-on experience in a global engineering practice.

Qualifications

• No experience required if enrolled in ABET-accredited Civil or Environmental Engineering program.
• Must have completed 60 hours toward a civil or environmental engineering degree by Summer 2027.
• Basic computer skills to enter data; math skills for simple calculations; willingness to learn.
• Experience with MicroStation is preferred.

Overview

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Water Resources Engineering Intern to join our Atlanta, GA office.

Your Role

• Assist with performing hydrologic, hydraulic, and other engineering calculations using established procedures and software tools.

About You

• EXPERIENCE: No experience is required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a Civil or Environmental Engineering field.
• EDUCATION: Must have completed 60 hours towards a civil or environmental engineering degree from an ABET accredited program by the start of Summer 2027.
• SPECIAL SKILLS: Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases. Math skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn. Experience with MicroStation (preferred).

Additional Information

Expected compensation range is between $ 25 - $ 31 hourly depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
