Job summary

Arup is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern in New York to contribute to site development and transportation projects across roads, rail, airports and data centers. You will apply Civil 3D or MicroStation to layout designs and run hydraulic analyses for stormwater and flood protection.

You will collect data, study codes, and coordinate with multiple disciplines to deliver sustainable outcomes while learning all project phases. Eligible to work in the U.S. is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree or higher in civil engineering or relevant engineering field.
• Sound knowledge of civil engineering fundamentals.
• Experience with CAD software.
• Professional demeanor and good communication.
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven, multidisciplinary environment.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Apply site/civil design to roads, railways, airports, data centers and parks.
• Use Civil 3D or MicroStation to layout roads, paths, drainage and earthwork.
• Use hydraulic tools to analyze stormwater and flood protection systems.
• Coordinate with disciplines to deliver sustainable outcomes.
• Prepare drawings, reports, calculation packages, and specs.
• Perform pre-construction and construction-phase site visits.
