Qualifications

Candidate currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Engineering, Construction Science or Construction Management.
Current cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
Six (6) months of experience preparing written reports and presenting information verbally.
Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
One semester AutoCAD coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs intern-level work assigned by the department.
Conduct on-site traffic investigations and recommend traffic sign installations, obstructions removal, pavement markings and signal modifications.
Analyze bridge inspections and initiate small bridge repair projects with PE review.
AutoCAD work may include updating plan details and water main designs.
Plan, estimate, and prepare projects under the $12 million Pavement Preservation program.
Completion may require operation of a vehicle.
