Job summary

IMEG is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern for a 10–12 week paid summer program in Houston, TX. You will assist in analysis, design, and oversight of civil systems, supporting inspections, reports, permits, and site drainage design.

You’ll work with experienced engineers in a collaborative, in-office setting across municipal, university, and utility projects, with a clear path to potential full-time roles after the internship.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years towards a BS in Civil Engineering
• Strong interest in design consulting
• Ability to clearly communicate in writing and speech
• Familiarity with CAD and BIM

Responsibilities

• Assist with civil design portions according to code and IMEG standards
• Support project documentation and meetings
• Coordinate design with other disciplines
• Perform site observations and field data collection
• Assist with addendum preparation and final checks
