Job summary

IMEG is hiring a Structural Engineering Intern in Houston, TX for a 10-12 week program. You will assist with design, research, coordination, and documentation while collaborating with experienced engineers on active projects.

Location may be Houston or Dallas, with a full-time in-office schedule. The role develops skills across civil/structural design, BIM tools, and client interactions, supporting sustainable design goals and IMEG's project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled for at least 2 years in a BS program in civil, structural, or architectural engineering.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office and design software.

Responsibilities

• Assist with structural system design following code and IMEG standards.
• Research project information and resources.
• Support client relations and document project records.
• Coordinate design and schedule activities with multiple teams.
• Document design decisions and meetings; monitor progress.
• Review documents for accuracy before final checks.
• Assist with issuing addendum information.
• Conduct periodic site observations and related duties.
