Job summary

Bohler in Boca Raton, FL is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Intern (Land Development) for Summer 2027. You will gain hands-on experience with site design, zoning coordination, and real client projects, collaborating with engineers, designers, and project managers.

You will learn the full site development process from concept to construction, using AutoCAD Civil 3D and supporting permitting for diverse developments.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D (preferred; training provided if not yet proficient).

Responsibilities

• Experience day-to-day operations of a civil engineering and site design firm.
• Learn stages of land development and site design process.
• Design concepts using AutoCAD Civil 3D: concept plans, grading plans, stormwater management, utilities, erosion control.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to drive projects forward.
• Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions.
• Visit sites to observe field conditions and see the engineering process in action.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute design/process improvements.
