Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering or related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to work both independently and with a team.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred; training provided if not yet proficient.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the day-to-day operations of a civil engineering and land development practice.
• Learn stages of land development and site design from concept to construction.
• Support design and permitting efforts using AutoCAD Civil 3D: concept plans, grading, stormwater, utilities, drainage and erosion controls.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to keep projects moving forward.
• Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions as needed.
• Observe field conditions during site visits and participate in team meetings.
