Bohler’s Frisco, TX office is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Intern (Land Development) for Fall 2026 to gain hands-on site design and permitting experience.

You will work with engineers, designers, and project managers on real-world projects, using AutoCAD Civil 3D to support concept through construction, while learning zoning, field observations, and client collaboration.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Civil, Environmental, Biosystems Engineering or related field
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred (training provided)

Responsibilities

• Experience day-to-day operations of a civil engineering and site design firm
• Learn stages of land development and site design process
• Design concept plans, grading plans, stormwater, utilities, and erosion control using AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to drive projects
• Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions
• Visit sites to observe field conditions and learn engineering processes
• Participate in team meetings and contribute design improvements

Bohler’s office in Frisco, TX is seeking a motivated Civil Engineering Intern (Land Development) eager to learn, grow, and contribute to real‑world site design projects. As a Fall 2026intern, you will gain insight into the daily operations of a civil engineering firm and understand the complete site development process, from concept to construction. By working alongside engineers, designers, and project managers, you will gain hands‑on experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, supporting the design and permitting of commercial, residential, industrial, and mixed‑use developments.

What You’ll Do

• Experience the day‑to‑day operations of a civil engineering and site design firm
• Learn the stages of the land development and site design process
• Enhance your technical skills with hands‑on experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D to design:
  • Concept plans
  • Grading plans
  • Stormwater management plans
  • Utility system plans
  • Soil erosion and sediment control plans
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to coordinate and drive projects forward
• Research zoning ordinances and coordinate with local jurisdictions
• Visit sites to observe field conditions and see the engineering process in action
• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to design and process improvements
