Job summary

Core States Group in Frisco, TX offers a Civil Engineering Intern position focused on land development. During an 11-week program, you will work with senior engineers on active projects and gain hands-on experience in development, permitting, and coordination.

You'll learn to use industry tools like AutoCAD and Civil 3D, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, attend client meetings, and contribute from concept through construction while building your professional skills.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a junior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Interested in land development, infrastructure, or site design.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communicator and collaborative team player.
• Eager to learn in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary AEC environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site development and land planning projects.
• Support grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater design.
• Participate in site layout and permitting coordination.
• Attend site visits and observe construction progress.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architecture, mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering.
• Gain exposure to client meetings and project coordination processes.
• Learn how civil engineering supports commercial, industrial, and housing development projects from concept through construction.
