Job summary

Core States Group is offering a Civil Engineering Intern position focused on land development. You will work with seasoned engineers on active projects during an 11-week program, gaining hands-on experience in site development, grading, drainage, and permitting coordination.

You will learn industry software, participate in site visits, and collaborate with architecture, mechanical, electrical, and structural teams to support projects from concept to construction.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a junior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Interested in land development, infrastructure, or site design.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communicator and collaborative team player.
• Eager to learn in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary AEC environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site development and land planning projects
• Support grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater design efforts
• Participate in site layout and permitting coordination
• Attend site visits and observe construction progress
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architecture, mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering
• Gain exposure to client meetings and project coordination processes
• Learn how civil engineering supports commercial, industrial, and housing development projects from concept through construction
