Job summary

Core States Group in Washington state invites a Civil Engineering Intern focused on land development to join an 11-week program working with seasoned civil engineers on active projects.

You will assist with site development and land planning, support grading, drainage and utilities, observe permitting, and participate in site visits while learning industry-standard software and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled as a junior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Interested in land development, infrastructure, or site design.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communicator and collaborative team player.
• Eager to learn in a fast‑paced, multidisciplinary AEC environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site development and land planning projects.
• Support grading, drainage, utility, and stormwater design efforts.
• Participate in site layout and permitting coordination.
• Attend site visits and observe construction progress.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including architecture, mechanical, electrical, and structural engineering.
• Gain exposure to client meetings and project coordination processes.
• Learn how civil engineering supports commercial, industrial, and housing development projects from concept through construction.
