Job summary

Benesch is hiring a Civil Intern (Highway/Roadway) for summer 2026. Work with Transportation and Highway Design Professionals on highway projects, traffic analysis, and plan preparation.

You will gain hands-on experience with engineering design software and collaborative project delivery. The internship offers exposure to projects across the country, mentorship from senior engineers, and opportunities to grow within Benesch.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Strong interest in highway, roadway, or transportation engineering.
• Familiarity with design software such as MicroStation and/or AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Assist with highway and roadway design, traffic analysis, and plan preparation.
• Gain hands-on experience in engineering design software, construction documentation, and collaborative project delivery.
• Support senior engineers on project tasks and documentation.
