Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our Mesa, Arizona team for the summer of 2027. The role will introduce you to traffic studies, water and sewer design, site and roadway planning, and construction documentation under supervision.

You will collaborate with multiple departments, participate in intern development opportunities, and gain hands-on experience in grading, drainage, and storm water concepts while supporting project teams and site inspections.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent commensurate experience required.
• Enrolled in community college courses, a college degree program, or formal continuing education program.
• Focus on civil engineering or related discipline is strongly preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Must hold a valid state driver's license and successfully pass a motor vehicle check.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site grading, erosion and sediment control design, CAD design and drafting, storm water management design, water treatment, traffic analysis and/or utility design.
• Assist with field inspections.
• Observe and participate in construction administration (RFI/Submittal) responsibilities.
