Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students for an on-site internship in our Panama City Beach, Florida office. This role involves using industry software to analyze and deliver client projects and to learn regulatory practices relevant to pre-construction civil engineering.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an ABET-accredited engineering degree program (Bachelor's or master's).
• Majors may include Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software programs to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions.
• Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, and with Kimley-Horn’s practices and standards.
• Learn software programs specific to disciplines (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS).

Education

ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering

ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering
