Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking Engineering students for an on-site internship in Melbourne, Florida. You will use technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients and assist in pre-construction design, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.

You will learn AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, MicroStation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro, and GIS while collaborating with project teams and gaining familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations and Kimley-Horn practices.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing an ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
  • Majors include Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients using technical software.
  • Assist pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to realize clients’ visions for the built environment.
  • Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations and Kimley-Horn’s standards.
  • Learn software programs such as AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, MicroStation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS.
