Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students to join our Ocala, Florida office for an in-person internship. Responsibilities include using software to analyze, produce, and QC client deliverables, and assisting with pre-construction civil design, planning, and permitting across multiple projects.

You will learn regulations and Kimley-Horn standards while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams. Interns will gain hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, GIS, and related tools,

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited engineering degree in listed majors (Bachelors or Masters).
  • Pursuing or completing an ABET-accredited program is required.
  • Strong foundations in civil/environmental or mechanical/other listed engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, produce, and QC deliverables using technical software.
  • Contribute to pre-construction civil design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions for built environments.
  • Learn and apply federal, state, and local regulations and company standards.
  • Gain familiarity with tools like AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, GIS, and related software.
