Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students for an internship in our Tampa, Florida office. This on-site role offers hands-on experience in civil and environmental projects, with exposure to multiple software programs used in planning, design, and analysis.

You will work closely with project managers and professionals across disciplines, gaining familiarity with regulations and company standards while contributing to deliverables for clients.©

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited engineering degree required, Bachelor’s or Master’s in listed engineering disciplines.
  • Candidates currently pursuing an engineering degree (ABET-accredited) are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software programs to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
  • Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis across multiple projects.
  • Assist project managers and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions for the built environment.
  • Learn software programs specific to disciplines (AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS).

Education

ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering; Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering; Engineering Technology
