Job summary

Fehr Graham, a Midwest engineering and environmental firm, seeks motivated Civil Engineering students for a summer internship in Rockford, IL. You will assist on municipal and environmental projects, learn through hands-on tasks, and join a team that values curiosity and real impact.

You’ll report to a Project Manager and gain experience in construction observation, CAD work, design computations, and design review while balancing office and field work. Apply to grow with Fehr Graham.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate, four-year degree in Civil Engineering.
• Familiar with reading blueprints.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; good communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction observation and measurements.
• Possibly exposure to surveying.
• Review and edit engineering plans to Fehr Graham standards.
• Shade with CAD and basic design computations; assist project team in deliverables.
• Office or field duties; learn engineering standards and state/local regulations.
• Collaborate with engineers, environmental scientists, and other staff; develop leadership skills.
