Job summary

Fehr Graham's internship in Schaumburg, IL, offers hands-on civil engineering exposure across municipal and environmental projects. You will report to a Project Manager and contribute to real deliverables.

As a motivated undergraduate, you’ll assist with construction observation, review plans, sharpen CAD skills, and participate in fieldwork when required. You’ll learn design standards and collaborate with engineers and environmental scientists in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an undergraduate, four-year degree in Civil Engineering.
• Familiar with or able to read blueprints.
• Able to work well independently and in a team.
• Strong spoken and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills; must be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Assist with construction observation and quantity measurement.
• Opportunity to gain exposure to surveying.
• Review and edit engineering plans to Fehr Graham standards; CAD support and basic design computations.
• Office or fieldwork may be required; collaborate with engineers and environmental scientists.
