Job summary

Ardmore Roderick in Lisle, IL is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our infrastructure solutions team. You will assist with data collection, field inspections, and asset management documentation under the guidance of experienced engineers.

The internship is based on-site at Lilse, IL, and runs May 24, 2027 through mid-late August 2027, requiring 40 hours per week. Eligible students must be enrolled in an accredited undergraduate civil engineering program and able to work in the United

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in an accredited Civil Engineering undergraduate program.
• Capable of taking direction from leadership, mentors, and managers to execute projects.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data collection related to inspections.
• Assist in various field inspections (Drainage, Environmental, ITS, and Tolling Systems) or (Structural inspections – Walls, Bridges, Overhead Signs).
• Assist in office inspections (Pavement, Safety Assets, and Right of Way) or Reports of Structural Assets.
• Collaborate with the team and other interns.
• Identify repair activities and update the asset management system.
• Experience all aspects of transportation within the project.
• Earn an OSHA 10 Certification.
