Job summary

Hanson Professional Services, Inc. in Lisle, IL is seeking an internship in Roadway Engineering. Interns will assist in preparing plans, designs, and cost estimates, gather data for reports, and perform calculations under supervision.

You'll use MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer and AutoCAD/Civil3D, conduct field surveys, and help document construction operations while developing core civil engineering skills in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in an ABET-accredited civil engineering program.
• Sophomore year completed and enrolled in a 4-year college or university.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Preparing plans, designs, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Gathering and/or providing data for reports and studies.
• Performing and/or reviewing calculations related to geometrics and transportation engineering.
• Utilizing MicroStation/OpenRoads Designer and AutoCad/Civil3D.
• Conducting field investigations and survey assistance.
• Documenting and observing construction operations.
