Job summary

Ardmore Roderick is seeking a Civil Engineering Intern to join our team at client sites in Lilse, IL. You will assist with inspections, collect data, and support both field and office activities across transportation projects.

You’ll collaborate with mentors, gain exposure to drainage, environmental, ITS, tolling systems, and structural inspections, and pursue OSHA 10 certification. Ideal candidates are enrolled undergrad civil engineers, comfortable outdoors, and proficient with Microsoft

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an accredited Civil Engineering undergraduate program.
Able to follow directions from leadership and mentors to execute projects.
Comfortable driving and working outdoors on Illinois Tollways and in construction zones.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and basic data collection.
Willing to commit to 40 hours per week May–Aug 2027.

Responsibilities

Assist with data collection for inspections.
Support field inspections (drainage, environmental, ITS, tolling) or structural inspections.
Assist in office inspections and asset reports.
Collaborate with team and other interns.
Identify repair activities and update asset management system.
Gain experience across transportation aspects within projects.
Earn OSHA 10 Certification.
