Job summary

TRC Companies, Inc. in Scott Depot, WV is seeking highly motivated Civil Engineering undergraduates for its Summer 2027 Intern program.

This paid, full-time internship runs June through August 2027 and may transition to a full-time role after graduation. You will work under project managers and teams, supporting design tasks, site layout, drafting, and cost estimates using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HydroCAD, MicroStation, PondPack, Bluebeam, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, CAD, or related field.
• Has excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Support civil engineer design tasks including sheet setup, drafting, and proposal development.
• Support site layout and grading, utility design, cost estimates, bridge and highway design.
• Assist in the preparation of civil construction drawings.
• Read and interpret project plans and specifications.
• Communicate with contractors.
