Job summary

STV, Inc. seeks a Civil Engineering Intern to join our team. This hybrid internship requires at least three days in the office and supports undergrad and graduate students to work on meaningful projects.

Responsibilities include designing civil projects with AutoCAD/Civil 3D, collaborating with architects and engineers, and preparing technical reports. Preference for 3+ months, full-time availability, and ABET-accredited background.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited University or NCEES equivalent.
• Knowledge of MicroStation, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and/or Open Roads Designer.
• Experience in the architecture/engineering/construction management industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing civil engineering projects from conceptualization through completion, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with architects, environmental engineers, and stakeholders to integrate project elements.
• Interface with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address project-related issues.
• Support feasibility studies, site investigations, and risk assessments to inform design.
• Prepare technical reports, narratives, and development applications.
• Assist in engineering design development using AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
• Learn and apply current engineering standards and procedures to assigned projects.
• Aid in preparing technical proposals and documentation.
• Perform other tasks to support project goals.
