Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering students to join our Atlanta Midtown, Georgia office. This is not a remote position and offers exposure to civil engineering software and multi-disciplinary teams.

Interns will support analysis, design, and prep work for projects, develop regulatory familiarity, and gain hands-on experience with software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and GIS within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • In the process of receiving an ABET-accredited engineering degree (Bachelor's or Master's).
  • Majors include Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Mechanical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering.
  • Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software programs to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
  • Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions.
  • Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations and with Kimley-Horn practices and standards.
  • Interns will learn one or more software programs specific to their disciplines: AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS.
