Job summary

GRAEF is seeking a Director of Civil Engineering to provide firmwide leadership for its Civil Engineering Technical Community. This role reports to the Chief Technical Officer and focuses on advancing technical excellence, quality, collaboration across offices, and developing the next generation of civil engineering leaders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
PE license is required and preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of firmwide technical standards and best practices for civil engineering.
Promote collaboration across offices and connect projects with the right expertise.
Lead and mentor staff, onboarding and succession planning to develop future leaders.
Shape technical strategy, innovation, recruiting, business planning, and client development.
Remain actively engaged in project leadership, design, and technical oversight to drive quality and risk management.
