Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
• At least one year of engineering experience.
• Engineering-In-Training (EIT) certification required.
• Familiarity with Texas MUTCD, TxDOT specifications, and City of Laredo standards.

Responsibilities

• Review site developments with City departments, TXDOT contractors, and engineering firms.
• Prepare design plans, cost estimates, specifications, and construction plans under supervision of a Professional Engineer.
• Perform drafting using AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS; prepare survey maps and legal descriptions.
• Supervise, plan, and train subordinates; review performance and ensure compliance with policies.
• Support the City Comprehensive Plan and respond to customer data requests for public works projects.
