Job summary

Urban Infraconstruction is seeking a Project Engineer to join our Heavy Civil division in Laredo, TX, to help plan and execute roadways, bridges, utilities, and concrete structures.

You will support scheduling, budgeting, RFIs and documentation, coordinate with field teams, subcontractors and clients, track quantities and progress, and help ensure safety, quality and on‑time milestones across projects.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Heavy Civil Construction or related infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience with roadway, bridge, utility, excavation, grading, or concrete projects is preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Willingness to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist planning and execution of heavy civil construction projects incl. roadways, bridges, utilities, grading, and concrete structures.
• Support scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, and cost tracking.
• Prepare and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, daily reports, and project docs.
• Coordinate with field ops, subcontractors, vendors, and clients to meet milestones.
• Track quantities, production rates, and material deliveries to maintain progress.
• Assist in maintaining project schedules and monthly progress reporting.
• Ensure compliance with specs, safety standards, and quality control.
• Support close-out activities including punch lists, as-builts, and final docs.
