Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering graduates to join our Overland Park, Kansas office in 2027. This is not a remote position and offers the opportunity to work on diverse civil engineering projects in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Responsibilities include applying technical software to analyze and QC deliverables, supporting pre-construction design, and learning regulatory requirements and Kimley-Horn standards.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree by Summer 2027 in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering or related fields.
• Majors include Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering or Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions.
• Develop familiarity with regulations and Kimley-Horn's standards and practices.
• Learn software programs such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS.
