Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering graduates to join our Houston office in 2027. This is not a remote position and offers exposure to civil engineering design, planning, and permitting across diverse projects.

You will gain hands-on experience using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM and more, while learning regulatory requirements and best practices under experienced project managers in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited engineering degree by Summer 2027 in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering or related fields.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
  • Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize clients' visions for the built environment.
  • Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and our client's practices and standards.
  • Analysts will learn software programs such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and/or GIS.

Education

ABET-accredited engineering degree by Summer 2027 (Civil and/or Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, Agricultural Engineering; Engineering Technology)
