Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering graduates for our Los Angeles, CA office in 2027. This on-site role offers growth through exposure to civil design, permitting, and multi-disciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities include using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, GIS and related tools to analyze and QC deliverables for clients. Candidates should anticipate a rigorous training path and a structured benefits package.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited engineering degree required by Summer 2027.
  • Majors include Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, produce, and QC deliverables using technical software.
  • Contribute to pre-construction civil design, planning, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
  • Solve complex problems and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions.
  • Develop familiarity with applicable regulations and Kimley-Horn practices and standards.
  • Learn software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS.
