Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering graduates to join our Los Angeles, CA office in 2027. This is not a remote position, offering exposure to civil/environmental projects with mentorship from seasoned professionals.

Responsibilities include using technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables, contributing to pre-construction design, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects, and learning AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, GIS and related tools.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2027
• Majors include Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software programs to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables.
• Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions.
• Develop familiarity with relevant regulations and practices.
• Learn software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS.
