Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering graduates to join our Virginia Beach, VA office in 2027. This is not a remote position and offers the chance to work on diverse civil engineering projects.

You will use AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, Excel, and other tools to analyze and deliver client-ready work. Responsibilities include contributing to pre-construction design, permitting, and analysis, while learning regulatory practices and Kimley-Horn standards.

Qualifications

  • ABET-accredited engineering degree expected by Summer 2027.
  • Majors include Civil and/or Environmental Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological, Biosystems, Chemical or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize technical software to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
  • Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions.
  • Develop familiarity with regulations and company practices and standards.
