Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking engineering graduates to join our Washington, DC office in 2027. This is not a remote position and offers exposure to multiple civil engineering disciplines.

Responsibilities include using industry software to analyze, produce, and QC client deliverables, contributing to pre-construction design, and collaborating across disciplines to realize client visions for the future built environment.

Qualifications

• ABET accredited engineering degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s) by Summer 2027 in Civil/Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, Biological/Biosystems, Chemical, or Agricultural Engineering, or Engineering Technology.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software programs to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for clients.
• Contribute to pre-construction civil engineering design, planning, modification, permitting, and analysis for multiple projects.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize clients’ visions for the built environment.
• Develop familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations and with Kimley-Horn’s and clients’ practices, procedures, and standards.
• Learn and apply software programs such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel, Microstation, VISSIM, Open Roads, Synchro and GIS.
