Kimley-Horn's Irving, Texas office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join the Water/Wastewater and Utilities team. This is not a remote position, offering collaboration with engineers and designers on diverse water projects.

You will design systems, manage tasks, and liaise with clients and agencies. A PE license or path to one within 12 months is preferred. The role emphasizes leadership, budget discipline, and strong communication in a dynamic TX market.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• P.E. License or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Municipal water/wastewater design experience including pump stations, pipelines, treatment facilities.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling using WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWater, etc.

Responsibilities

• Design water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, conveyance systems, and treatment facilities.
• Manage project tasks, design, permitting, construction coordination; guide junior staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and external clients to complete projects.
• Maintain quality sets of plans and review others' work.
• Develop work plans, manage budgets, and apply project management knowledge.
