Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Dallas Downtown office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join the Water/Wastewater and Utilities team. This is not a remote position and you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary group of engineers and designers on a variety of water-related projects.

You will design transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, water treatment facilities, and related master plans, while managing tasks, budgets, and client communications to deliver

Qualifications

• 4+ years of engineering design experience.
• P.E. license (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
• Municipal water/wastewater design experience including pump stations and pipelines.
• Hydraulic modeling using WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS, InfoWater, etc.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Project management and multitasking ability.
• Entrepreneurial spirit to lead a practice and manage clients.

Responsibilities

• Design water transmission and distribution systems, pumping stations, conveyance systems, water treatment facilities.
• Manage project tasks, design, permitting, construction coordination, and provide guidance to less experienced staff.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients to complete projects.
• Maintain high-quality plans and check the work of others.
• Create work plans and adhere to client budgets.
• Interact with clients and regulatory agencies to meet project requirements.
