Under supervision, you will assist with data analysis, reviews of crash data, and on-site reviews, working toward promotion through the Civil Engineer I/II/III tracks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering from ABET-accredited college (or anticipated within 12 months)
• Minimum 2.0 GPA if applying with only a degree; additional licensure/certification required if GPA below 2.5

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating state-of-the-practice research on roadside safety topics
• Assist with revisions and development of new standards, procedures, and policy recommendations
• Prepare technical correspondence and reports on safety issues under supervision
• Perform on-site reviews as needed
• Assist with crash data analysis and roadway safety issues
• Consult with policy development units and FHWA to ensure uniformity
