Job Description

We are currently seeking an entry-level Structural/Civil Engineer - Project Associate for our West Palm Beach, FL location.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in coordinating and managing project meetings, ensuring effective communication among team members and stakeholders.
• Verify schedules and ensure adherence to project plans and timelines.
• Conduct on-site inspections, document conditions, perform field testing, and track work progress.
• Record accurate field measurements and perform calculations as needed.
• Prepare professional correspondence with clients and contractors.
• Understand investigation reports, bid documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Communicate project status and escalate issues when necessary.
• Maintain organized project records and files.
• Stay updated on industry trends through workshops and publications.
• Participate in networking events and promote the company’s presence.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility.

Special Requirements

Technical

• Basic knowledge of construction plans, specifications, and manuals.
• Produce inspection reports, review change orders, and verify payment applications.

Client Relations

• Participate in client meetings, take minutes, and follow up on action items.

Internal Team

• Collaborate with the team to understand project scope, goals, and timelines.

This role may involve additional responsibilities as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related experience.

Work Experience

• Minimum of two years in an architectural/engineering consulting or construction-related field if lacking a degree.

Licenses & Certifications

• Engineering (EI) Certification or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• OSHA 10-hour certification.
• Valid Driver’s License or ability to obtain one.

Skills

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar software.
• Ability to read construction drawings and work in the field, including lifting up to 40 lbs. and working at heights.
