Job summary

The City of Peoria, Arizona is seeking a Civil Engineer to join the Site Development Division within the Development and Engineering Department. You will review development projects including residential subdivisions, multi-family, commercial, industrial and capital improvement projects, ensuring compliance with code and design standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with stakeholders through planning to permitting and inspection, attending meetings, and clearly communicating

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, related field, or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years’ professional engineering experience or in a related field.
• Registered Professional Engineer required upon hire with preference to Arizona registration.
• Valid AZ Driver’s License upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering reviews of development projects to ensure compliance with code and design standards.
• Coordinate with internal and external customers to review and process development projects from planning to permitting and inspection.
• Attend meetings and clearly communicate engineering requirements to developers, engineers, planners, architects, city officials and the public.
