Job summary

The City of Peoria, AZ is seeking a motivated Civil Engineer to support water and wastewater CIP projects in the Engineering Services Division. You will work with engineers, project managers, and contractors to deliver projects from concept through closeout.

Strong communication and customer service skills are essential as you coordinate with internal departments, consultants, and public stakeholders to ensure timely, cost-effective improvements to municipal infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, related field, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Support planning, development, design, and implementation of water and wastewater CIP projects from concept through construction and closeout.
• Act as liaison with outside agencies; administer contracts; respond to City management and public inquiries and concerns.
• Review engineering plans and specifications; evaluate and develop solutions for system expansions, new construction, and relocation projects.
• Coordinate with developers, contractors, consultants, the public, internal departments, and City leadership.

Education
