Job summary

GRAEF is seeking a Civil Engineer/Project Manager in our Miami office to lead design teams on single and multi-discipline projects. You will oversee project engineering, manage priorities, and drive technical excellence while mentoring staff.

The role requires a Florida PE license, 8+ years of site development experience, and strong client engagement, proposal and interview skills. We offer flexible schedules and remote options.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s a plus.
• Minimum 8 years designing and managing site development, municipal roadway and utility projects.
• PE license in Florida required.
• Experience mentoring staff and leading a group is a plus.
• Proficiency with Civil3D and hydrology/hydraulic software.

As a Civil Engineer/Project Manager in our Miami office, enjoy responsibilities that include:

• Project engineering and management including project oversight, setting priorities and developing objectives, project financial management as well as hands-on involvement in the design process.
• The ability to serve as a technical resource for site civil team members.
• Business development activities including proposal preparation, project interviews/presentations, and client management.
• Managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced multidiscipline environment.
• Professional society involvement.

We are considering candidates who possess the following minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. Master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in designing and managing a wide variety of site development projects, municipal roadway and utility projects.
• Knowledge of stormwater management design and permitting regulations.
• Knowledge of municipal utility design including sanitary sewer and water main.
• Experience managing a group would be considered a plus.
• Abilities to manage and mentor staff and successfully lead a group is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multi-discipline and architect-led team on large facility projects.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License in Florida.
• Good communication skills and a proven track record in successfully interacting with clients and internal team members is necessary.
• Success in business development planning, including developing strategic business plans, marketing activities, client development, presentation experience and proposal development is a desired.
• Proficient with Autodesk Civil3D, hydrology and hydraulic software.
