ARE YOU A GOOD FIT?
- B.S. degree in civil engineering
- New Jersey PE certification
- 10+ years of progressive experience servicing private clients, managing infrastructure projects, or designing land development projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Interpersonal and collaboration skills
The Ideal Civil Engineer - Project Manager:
- CME, CFM, or PP
- Site development experience
- Experience in public testimony before Land Use Boards
- GIS and Hydraflow software experience
YOUR DAY-TO-DAY
Leadership And Project Management:
- Guide a diverse range of projects, including road rehabilitation, stormwater management, land development, and utility design
- Drive capital improvement initiatives for public sector clients
- Handle project management responsibilities like scheduling, solving design and construction problems, preparing proposals, establishing budgets, and creating estimates
- Prepare and review detailed technical designs, construction drawings, and specifications
- Ensure quality, timely work from start to finish
Client Support and Public Engagement:
- Engage with clients, community members, and stakeholders
- Collaborate with consultants, government agencies, contractors, and other partners throughout each stage of the project
- Attend municipal planning, zoning, and land-use board meetings
- Participate in project meetings with clients
- Review and analyze municipal development applications
- Prepare and present comprehensive monthly reports for clients
Team and Business Development:
- Mentor junior engineers, nurture their professional growth, and help them develop technical skills
- Actively participate in marketing-related proposals and programs, maintain strong relationships with existing clients, and pursue new opportunities
