Job Title: Civil Engineer / Project Manager
Location: Fully Remote (Kalamazoo/Portage, MI)
Salary: $100,000 - $110,000 annually
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

About the Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Engineer / Project Manager to lead and manage land development and infrastructure projects nationwide. This position offers a fully remote work environment, allowing you to work from anywhere in the Kalamazoo/Portage, MI area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and manage civil engineering projects, including land/site development, roads, water supply, sewer collection, and drainage systems.

  • Prepare and review project proposals, contracts, budgets, schedules, specifications, drawings, and reports.

  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, regulators, and public agencies to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

  • Monitor project progress, quality, and performance, implementing corrective actions when necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle, fostering positive relationships with stakeholders.

  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies, managing changes and conflicts as needed.

  • Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with design drawings and provide technical support to field staff.

  • Lead and mentor a project team, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

  • Continuously improve engineering processes, methods, and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license, preferably licensed in Michigan.

  • Minimum of 5years of experience in civil engineering and project management, preferably within land development.

  • Demonstrated success in managing complex, large-scale projects.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, and other engineering software.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
