Civil Engineer/Project Manager

A challenging and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Civil Engineer/Project Manager to lead and manage land development and infrastructure projects across the United States.

Position Overview

We seek a Civil Engineer/Project Manager to oversee planning, design, entitlement, and construction of various projects. Responsibilities include ensuring project quality, managing staff, consultants, stakeholders, and providing technical leadership. Flexibility to work from our Grand Rapids or Scottsdale office, or remotely in Idaho and Northern Arizona markets is available.

Responsibilities
  1. Plan, design, and manage civil engineering projects, including land/site development, roads, water supply, sewer, and drainage systems.
  2. Prepare and review proposals, contracts, budgets, schedules, specifications, drawings, and reports.
  3. Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, regulators, and public agencies.
  4. Monitor project progress, quality, and performance; implement corrective actions.
  5. Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  6. Act as the primary contact for project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  7. Maintain positive relationships, manage expectations, and provide updates on milestones and deliverables.
  8. Identify risks, manage changes, and resolve conflicts.
  9. Conduct site inspections and provide technical support to field staff and contractors.
  10. Lead and mentor project teams to ensure high performance and professional development.
  11. Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  12. Contribute to process improvements in engineering practices.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • At least 7+ years of experience in civil engineering and project management, preferably in land development.
  • Proven success in delivering complex projects on scope, time, and budget.
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, HEC-RAS, and similar software.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • Capable of working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
